ABB Events started out when Tom Tobin and Sam Pratt took over A Bar Below, an intimate little gin bar in Headingley, Leeds. With a vision to push Leeds’ underground music culture and upcoming DJ’s to the suburbs of Leeds, They quickly built a name. The venue became a perfect place to start your night out, as well as giving young upcoming DJ’s and brands a chance to build a name for themselves.
ABB became the in-house brand of A Bar Below, creating a platform to take the brand to other venues in Leeds.
Unfortunately during the 2019 pandemic the venue had to close and they had to act on keeping the brand operational so they decided to start a DJ deck and sound system rental company with the equipment from the bar and adding more to the inventory including a full Martin Audio Blackline sound system. The brand continuously works with clubs throughout the city including Mint warehouse, Eiger Studios, Distrikt, Belgrave and Defiance bar supplying their DJs with pro Pioneer equipment including the DJM V10 mixer and club standard CDJ-3000s that of course is available to rent for any occasion. In 2021 they acquired a Ford Transit van to help with delivering equipment and the pair had a vision for the van to become a mobile stage so that’s just what they created and in the summer of 2022 this is now available to rent for multiple use with the aim of street parties to running your own mini festival.
